Richard Baxter Gilliam

Richard Gilliam has been President of Cumberland Resources Corporation since 1993 and serves as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Gilliam served at Brimstone Coal Company from 1974 to 1977, Robert's Dominion Coal Company from 1977 to 1979 and Yale Mining Company from 1979 to 1982. He served as President Of Lonesome Pine Mining Company Inc., from 1982 to 1993 and Dorchester Mining Company Inc., since 1986. Mr. Gilliam's extensive experience in the mining industry includes, from 1974 to 1978, being the owner of Pine Creek Coal Company, Dominion Mining Equipment; and the owner/operator of Robert-Dominion Coal Company. Since 1978, He served as the President/Chief Executive Officer and stockholder of Yale Mining Corporation. From 1989 to 1993, he served as President Of Benito Mining Corporation. From 1990 to 1993, he served as President of North Fork Mining Corporation. Since 1993, he served as President Of Cumberland Equipment Corporation, Norton. He has been an Independent Director of Endurance Gold Corp. since June 23, 2004 and Discovery Harbour Resources Corp. since April 01, 2013. He served on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Coal Association, Virginia Oil and Gas Board, Johnston Memorial Hospital and is a member of the North Carolina Coal Mining Institute, Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute and Virginia Mining Association. From 1970 to 1974, Mr. Gilliam attended and holds Bachelor of Science from Clinch Valley College of the University of Virginia.
