Dr. Wehby is currently the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Randall Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Monica has nearly 30 years of experience formulating medical policy. She is a past president of the Oregon Medical Association where she led the 2004 tort reform campaign. Born and raised in Tennessee, Monica’s grandfather immigrated as a boy to the United States and later drove delivery trucks before founding a truck line and warehousing company. Monica’s father is a retired small businessman and CPA. Her mother, who was the daughter of Tennessee farmers, is a retired Registered Nurse. She began at the University of Notre Dame, where she graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then entered Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where she was Medical Student Body President, Senior Class President and Chair of the Texas Medical Association medical student section. In 1998 Dr. Wehby moved to Portland, Oregon to serve as Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Emanuel – now Randall Children’s hospital. She also serves on the Board of Emanuel Randell Children’s Hospital Foundation.
