Esther Joy King began her legal career as an associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago and later had the opportunity to serve the State of Illinois in the office of entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology. Her entrepreneurial spirit also led her to start a marketing firm after obtaining her law degree, GRP21, where she learned firsthand about creating jobs and opportunities. Because of her desire to serve our great nation, King joined the US Army Reserve as a member of the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps. She was recently promoted to Captain and assigned to the Rock Island Arsenal. In 2020, King ran for Congress in Illinois' 17th congressional district. She is currently an entrepreneur and practices law in East Moline, Illinois, with a focus on real estate for economic development. King studied law at Northwestern School of Law, where she earned a juris doctor and master of law degrees in taxation.
