William Charles Powers

William Charles Powers, also known as Bill, is a Managing Principal and Managing General Partner of Encore Housing Opportunity Fund. Mr. Powers serves as Managing Director of PACE Select Advisors Trust - PACE Government Securities Fixed Income Investments. He has been Senior Vice President at PIMCO Commercial Mortgage Securities Trust Inc. since July 1993, Advisor at PIMCO Commercial Mortgage Securities Trust Inc., and a Portfolio Manager at PIMCO Commoditiesplus Fund and UBS PACE Select Advisors Trust-UBS PACE Government Securities Fixed Income Investments. Mr. Powers is a Managing Director and a senior member of PIMCO's portfolio management and investment strategy groups. He is also one of five generalists in PIMCO's portfolio management group, and co-heads PIMCO's mortgage team. He served as Managing Director of PACE Select Advisors Trust - PACE Mortgage-Backed Securities Fixed Income Investments. He served as Senior Vice President of PCM Fund Inc. since July 1993. He served as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Pacific Investment Management Company LLC. Mr. Powers was a Member of the Management Board of PIMCO Advisors LP, a subsidiary of PIMCO Advisors Holdings LP since April 1999. He joined Pacific Investment Management Co LLC in 1991. Prior to this, Mr. Powers worked at Salomon Brothers, and as Senior Managing Director specializing in mortgage-backed securities at Bear Stearns. He has 21 years of investment experience. He serves as Co-Chairman at Grass River Property LLC. He serves as a Director of International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc. Mr. Powers holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
