Michelle Mrdeza has over twenty-three years of experience in public service, working primarily in the Executive and Legislative branches of government. Ms. Mrdeza is recently retired as the majority clerk of the House Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Homeland Security. She directed this subcommittee since its inception in February of 2003. Prior to coming to work for Congress, Ms. Mrdeza served as a program analyst with the Veterans Administration where she provided analytical support on medical care, with an emphasis on Agent Orange and medical research. Ms. Mrdeza began her government service career as a Presidential Management Intern (PMI) and program analyst with the Office of Management and Budget. Before working with the government, Ms. Mrdeza earned a Master of Public Administration from George Washington University, a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Virginia, and has served as a senior research fellow at the UCLA School of Public Policy and Social Research. Ms. Mrdeza was named to the Phi Alpha Alpha Honor Society and was the recipient of the 1998 George Washington University Department of Public Administration Distinguished Alumni Award. In 2006, Ms. Mrdeza received the US Coast Guard Meritorious Public Service Award. Ms. Mrdeza is the President of MXM Consulting LLC and resides in northern, Virginia.
