As President of DeSimone Consulting Engineers, Stephen DeSimone has designed numerous innovative structures during his career. Stephen joined the firm in 1988. During his tenure, he has focused on the design of high-rise and mixed-use structures. A licensed professiona Engineer and LEED certified professional, Stephen is active member of the Engineering community. He was a founding member of the Structural Engineers Association of New York (SEAoNY), sits on the Steering Committee of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat and was conference co-chair for The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat’s Seventh World Congress. Stephen is also an active member of the New York Concrete Industry Board and the American Concrete Institute. Balancing his professional career, Stephen assists on the boards of many community-based organizations including St. Patrick School and the O’Co-Nee Association. Married with three children, Stephen resides in Bay Shore, New York. He enjoys the opportunity to give back and build a better community. Stephen received his Masters degree (Civil Engineering) from Columbia University and his Bachelor degree(Civil Engineering) from Manhattan College. He is also a member of Chi-Epsilon, the National Civil Engineering Honor Society.
