As a forty-four year veteran of commercial banking in the New York Metropolitan area, Edward Travaglianti has had a distinguished career and prominent role in the banking industry. Garnering a broad range of experience as he rose through the organization, Mr. Travaglianti helped lead the growth and success of European American Bank (EAB), which culminated with his appointment as the Bank’s President and subsequently its Chairman and CEO for more than a decade. At the time of EAB’s 2001 acquisition by Citibank he was appointed Citibank N.A.’s President of Commercial Markets with responsibility for nationwide Middle Market and Small Business activities. After retiring from Citibank in 2002, Mr. Travaglianti resumed his banking career at Commerce Bank in 2004. Upon its acquisition by TD Bank in 2008, he joined TD Bank where he continues as President of the Long Island market. Mr. Travaglianti’s career in finance has always been synonymous with vigorous personal leadership across a broad spectrum of community organizations and institutions dedicated to improving economic, healthcare and educational opportunities in the region. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola, New York and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Winthrop-South Nassau University Health System. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Pall Corporation and is also a founding member of the Board of Directors of Cop-Shot, Inc. A lifelong resident of the New York area, Mr. Travaglianti received an undergraduate degree in Economics from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York, in 1970, with subsequent graduate study in Corporate Finance and Banking at New York University’s Stern Graduate School of Business in New York City. In 2009, Mr. Travaglianti received an Honorary Doctorate from St. Francis College. He resides in Lloyd Harbor with his wife Patricia.
