Prior to Denihan Capital he was the co-owner of Affinia Hospitality for over 35 years. He held the position of Managing Director and was responsible for all aspects of human resources to continuously improve the standards of quality and guest service and ensure all human resource strategies were aligned with the company’s mission and business goals. In his tenure with Affinia Hospitality he served in multiple capacities including operations, sales and marketing and food and beverage and oversaw the corporate sales and marketing functions as the company sought to enhance its identity outside the New York market. Dan Denihan serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of St. Francis Hospital & Mercy Medical Center. He is Co-Chairman of the Capital Campaign Committee for St. Aloysius School in Harlem and is a member of the National Development Board for Boston College and was co-chair of its Ever to Excel campaign, NY region. In addition, he is an advisory committee member for the Board of Directors for Catholic Big Brothers Big Sisters and The Whelan Group. Is on the Steering Committee for Boy’s Town New York Development. Additionally, Dan is one of the Board of Directors of the Jesuit Collaborative and serves as a committee member of the Catholic Medical Mission Board. Dan Denihan is a life long parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, Manhasset, NY, a graduate of Xavier H.S. in NYC and Boston College’69. Dan is married to the lovely Kathleen Tuohey for over 30 years. Kathleen is a graduate of Fordham University. Together they are proud parents of five children. Daniel, Johns Hopkins University’01, Conor, Johns Hopkins University’02, Suzanne, Boston College’03, Sean, Georgetown University’06 and Mary Kate, Boston College’06. Edith Tomlin Denihan is the matriarch of the family and has been its guiding force and influence. Dan Denihan was inducted into the Xavier High School Hall of Fame in 1998. Is a recipient of the Catholic Big Brothers Dwight Darcy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003 and the Phillip Callan Award for Volunteerism at Boston College in 2004 and, is a member of the Manhasset Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
