William J. Shaw

Mr. Shaw served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Marriott International Inc., a holding company of Marriott Hotel Services, Inc. from March 31, 1997 to May 1, 2009. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Ameriscribe, Inc. from 1989 to 1994. He joined Host Marriott Corporation from Arthur Andersen & Co., in 1974, and served as Corporate Controller since 1979 and Vice President since 1982 and since 1985, he assumed responsibility for its Tax Department and Risk Management. He served as Chairman of The Board of Sodexo, Inc., (Formerly, Sodexho Marriott Services Inc.,), a subsidiary of HMSHost Corporation since March 27, 1998. He has been Vice Chairman of Marriott International, Inc. since May 1, 2009. He has been a Director of Washington Mutual Investors Fund Inc., since 2009. He serves as a Director of Renaissance Hotel Group. He served as Director of The Board of Sodexo, Inc., from 1998 to June 2001. He served as a Director of Anchor Glass Container Corp. since June 1998. He served as Advisory Board Member of Washington Mutual Investors Fund Inc., since 2001. He serves on The NCAA Leadership Advisory Board. He serves on the Board of Trustees of The University of Notre Dame and The Suburban Hospital Foundation. Mr. Shaw holds a BBA degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
