Stanley G. Tate served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Resolution Trust Corporation until 1993. In 1986, Mr. Tate established Tate Enterprises as a holding company for his investment, construction, and consulting activities. Mr. Tate began his business career began in 1949, building single- and multi-family residential properties. By the late 1950s his company, Stanley Tate Builders, Inc., broadened its scope to include commercial and industrial properties as well as providing leasing and consulting services. Beginning in 1969 he focused on condominium development but continued with shopping center, apartment, office building, warehouse, restaurants, and residential construction. He served as the Chairman of the Board at AmeriBid, Inc. Mr. Tate has been Chairman of Advisory Board of KFx Inc. since September 19, 2003. He served as Chairman of the National Advisory Board of the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC). Mr. Tate's involvement with the RTC began in 1989 when he was named Chairman of Region 1, which included 20 states on the Eastern seaboard. From 1990 to 1991, he served as Chairman of the National Advisory Board of the RTC. His influence in America's real estate and housing industry continued with his membership on Fannie Mae's National Housing Impact Advisory Council, a post he held from 1994 to 1996. Mr. Tate serves as a Director of AmeriBid, Inc. He served as Director of Evergreen Energy, Inc. (alternate name, KFx Inc.) from 1997 to September 19, 2003. Mr. Tate was instrumental in the design and implementation of the Florida Prepaid College Program, which was created in 1987. Mr. Tate served as the Chairman of the Board for the first 18 years of the program's existence.
