Doyle Beneby

Doyle Beneby joined CPS Energy on August 1, 2010, as President and Chief Executive Officer. A veteran of the electric industry with more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Beneby has held several leadership positions with Exelon Power and the Philadelphia Electric Company. Most recently, he served as President of Exelon Power and Senior Vice President of Exelon Generation. Mr. Beneby previously held the positions of Senior Vice President, Vice President of Operations, and Vice President of Construction and Maintenance with Exelon Power. He has also held senior-level positions with Consumers Energy in Michigan and Florida Power & Light. Under Mr. Beneby’s leadership, CPS Energy has made recent improvements in operational performance and has established partnerships with clean technology companies that will help the company achieve its goal of becoming a major player in the new energy economy. Mr. Beneby earned a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Montana Technical College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami.
