Prior to Maloney’s appointment to the Treasury Department, he served as a corporate officer and Vice President of Government and External Affairs for Hess Corporation, a global independent energy company. Maloney led international, federal, and state government affairs, communications, corporate social responsibility and sustainability. Drew Maloney brings deep experience on Capitol Hill to his work on behalf of his Ogilvy Government Relations clients. Drew Maloney joined Ogilvy Government Relations after serving as Administrative Assistant and Legislative Director for the Republican House Majority Whip. While working in Leadership, Drew Maloney managed the Whip’s congressional office and played an integral part in formulating the energy, judiciary, commerce and campaign finance reform policy initiatives. Prior to joining Leadership staff, Drew Maloney was Legislative Director to Congressman Ed Bryant (R-TN), where he handled duties before the Judiciary and Commerce Committees. As Bryant’s counsel on judiciary matters, Drew Maloney helped conduct the interview of Monica Lewinsky and managed the impeachment proceedings. Prior to Bryant, he worked for Congressman Roger Wicker (R-MS), where he handled energy policy and appropriations issues. Drew Maloney’s political experience includes working on several campaigns at the congressional and state level. He acted as Political Director for Carlyle Gregory Company, providing political consulting services for national congressional campaigns, including Representatives Roger Wicker, Rick Lazio, Dan Miller and Clay Shaw. He is a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in the Smithsonian Institution. He serves on the board of directors for the Meridian International Center and is a member of the Washington gold chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). He was a member of the Board of Trustees at Randolph-Macon College. Maloney has served on the Cleveland Park Historical Society Board and the Development Committee for Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Georgetown. Drew Maloney holds a B.A. in political science from Randolph-Macon College and a J.D. from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law.
