Tarica retired as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Jimlar Corporation in 2014. He joined Jimlar Corporation in 1971, where he has served in many leadership roles. He became President, Chief Operating Officer in 1991, and became Group President, Footwear Division, LF USA in 2011. Founded by Victor and Madeleine Tarica in 1956, Jim Tarica and Larry Tarica, their sons, led the organization together for 43 years. Jimlar was acquired by LF USA in 2010. It owned the Frye Boot Company and was the footwear licensee of Coach and Calvin Klein, among many other activities. Jim and Larry Tarica were inducted into the Footwear Industry Hall of Fame in 2011. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Project A.L.S., the Advisory Board of North Shore University Hospital, and as HUC-JIR’s representative on the Reform movement’s Rabbinic Placement Commission. He served as President of The Community Synagogue and as Vice President of the Sands Point Civic Association. Tarica earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business.
