Ira Riklis became CEO of COPS Monitoring in 1989. Mr. Riklis is responsible for supervision of the day-to-day management but primarily the creation and implementation of long term strategy. Mr. Riklis has lead the company from a small security monitoring company to an industry-leading and advanced provider of wholesale security alarm, PERS, medical alert, 2-way voice, video, environmental, fire alarm and industrial process monitoring services in the country. During his tenure the company has grown from under 20,000 subscribers to more than 3.4+ Million subscribers. Today COPS Monitoring is the largest company of its type in the United States providing service to almost one out of every four alarm companies in the country. Mr. Riklis is a double alumnus of the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania where he completed both an undergraduate (BS in Economics) and post-graduate degree (Masters of Business Administration). Mr. Riklis was among the first students ever to study and receive a degree in the field of Management of Entrepreneurship. Mr. Riklis lives in New York with his wife of 48 years. Mr. Riklis is a board member of the American Committee for The Tel Aviv Foundation and was formerly the Chairman of the Board. He is also the current President of Sutherland Capital Management, Inc.
