Founded Generations Healthcare in 1998

Thomas Olds Jr founded Generations Healthcare in January of 1998 with a single 89-bed skilled nursing facility. Since that time he has grown the company to encompass numerous facilities throughout Northern and Southern California with more than 2,000 beds. His business strategy focuses on quality and service while remaining mindful of the challenges and changes facing older adults in today’s world. Mr. Olds began his career in the long term care industry in 1989 at GranCare, a small LTC start up. He was a key member of the acquisition and operations team that grew GranCare from just a few hundred beds to over 10,000 beds and a place on the NYSE. In 1994, he was a founding partner in Covenant Care, Inc. focusing on business development and operations. During his tenure with Covenant Care he directed the acquisition of more than 30 skilled nursing facilities, four pharmacies and a therapy company. He also led the building of the corporate infrastructure with both management and information systems.
