David A Donatelli

David Donatelli is President, EMC Storage Division at EMC Corporation. With 2007 revenues of $13.2 billion and more than 37,000 employees, EMC is the world's leading developer and provider of information infrastructure technology and solutions that enable organizations of all sizes to transform the way they compete and create value from their information. Donatelli was promoted to his current position in September 2007 and reports directly to Joe Tucci, EMC Chairman, President and CEO. Donatelli oversees the development of all of EMC’s storage platforms, including EMC Symmetrix and CLARiiON families of networked storage systems, EMC Celerra network-attached storage (NAS) systems, and EMC Centera content addressed storage (CAS) systems. Additionally, he oversees the development of EMC’s Information Management Software and Infrastructure Software product offerings and is responsible for EMC's Worldwide Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain organizations. Donatelli is based at EMC's corporate headquarters in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. Donatelli joined EMC in 1987 and has held management positions in nearly every area of the company, including sales, marketing, customer service, manufacturing, software engineering and alliances. He led EMC's highly successful entry into the open systems market in 1995, served as the company's first Vice President of Enterprise Alliances, developing and managing EMC's relationships with the world's leading software companies. Prior to his current role, Donatelli was Executive Vice President, Storage Product Operations. And before that he served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing and New Business Development. Under his leadership, EMC acquired and successfully integrated Data General, Softworks, CrosStor, and several other strategically important additions to EMC's market-leading technology portfolio.
