Robert E Alger

Robert E. Alger was born on December 29, 1957, in Hornell, New York. He attended Arkport Central High School, where he had 49 students in his class, with only two going on to earn a four-year college degree. He attended SUNY Alfred for two years, earning a degree in Engineering Science and then went on to Penn State University, where he received his Civil Engineering degree in 1979. In 2001, upon the retirement of Skip Wetmore, he was named President and CEO of The Lane Construction Corporation. Bob and his wife, Joan, live in Avon,Connecticut and have two children; a daughter, Lauren, a senior in Avon High School, and a son, Robert, Jr., a recent graduate of Purdue University.
