Hardy-Knox is currently the owner of Eighty Four, Pennsylvania-based 84 Lumber and Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, in Farmington, Pennsylvania. Her father, Joseph A. Hardy III, founded both, in 1956 and 1970, respectively. Forbes pegs her net worth at $1.4 billion. Hardy has served as president of Washington County-based 84 Lumber since 1992 and lead the company to over $1 billion in sales in 1994 and over $2 billion in sales in 2004, overseeing the day-to-day operations of over 250 stores, manufacturing plants, custom shops and wood product centers nationally. In 2000, she added to her responsibilities when she took over leadership of Nemacolin, and has led the resort to receive recognition from the travel industry like AAA, Forbes Five-Star, Condé Nast Travelers and more.
