Ms. Beal is president and founder of the Beal Consulting Group, Inc., with overall responsibility for investment performance. Before founding the Beal Consulting Group in 1991, Ms. Beal was Vice President of The Beal Companies, a real estate development and management firm, where she was responsible for designing and managing their portfolio of stocks, bonds, venture capital, other alternative investments and limited partnerships. In 1976 Ms. Beal created Financial Education Seminars to introduce women to the basic concepts of personal financial decision-making. These seminars were taught by professors from the business schools of Boston University, Harvard and MIT. Ms. Beal currently serves on the Investment Committees of the Appalachian Mountain Club, the New England Conservatory, and WGBH (Boston’s PBS Channel). Additionally, she is a trustee emeritus for WGBH. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Island Alliance and the North Bennet Street School; serves as an Overseer of the New England Conservatory; and is on the Advisory Committee of the Appalachian Mountain Club and LEAP (Learning Through an Expanded Arts Program, NY). Ms. Beal earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Wellesley College, an MBA from Boston University, and holds a Series 7 License. She is an avid sailor, wind surfer and skier. Ms. Beal joined the MAS Board of Directors in 2009.
