Michael J Johnston

Mr. Michael J. Johnston is a Trustee at New School University. Mr. Johnston is the Executive Vice President of The Capital Group Companies. He also is a Director of American Funds Distributors, Inc. and Capital Strategy Research, subsidiaries of the Capital Group. Prior to joining the Capital Group in 1986, he was president of Paine Webber Capital Markets. Mr. Johnston is a trustee and former chair of the board of Claremont Graduate University, a member of the board of visitors for the Center for Politics and Economics at Claremont and a volunteer member of the New Jersey Symphony, the World President’ Organization and Union Theological Seminary. He serves as a Director of The Harvard Business School Club of Greater New York, Inc. He holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. from the University of Kansas.
