Duncan MacMillan earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University in 1966. Mr. MacMillan is one of the four founders of Bloomberg LP, an information service and media company serving customers around the world. He is credited with designing many of the computer systems the Bloomberg Company uses to disseminate information and communicate critical data to subscribers. Prior to founding the company, Mr. MacMillan worked at Salomon Brothers. He began his career with Bankers Trust in 1967, where he met his wife, Nancy. Mr. MacMillan serves his alma mater as a member of the Board of Trustees and as Secretary, Board of Overseers, Rutgers University Foundation and Member of a Dean's Advisory Committee. Mr. MacMillan also serves as a member of the Foundation of The Medical Center at Princeton. Nancy MacMillan serves as a trustee of the Institute for Advanced Study and the American Repertory Ballet. Among the gifts the MacMillans have made in support of science and technology education is an endowed Professorship of Genetics at Rutgers University, and a Professorship in Theoretical Computer Science at The Institute for Advanced Study. They have been consistent and generous donors to CINJ since 1997.
