Pamela J Newman

Dr. Newman is an international insurance broker specializing in Fortune 500 clients worldwide. She is the President and CEO of The Newman Team at Aon Corporation. The Newman Team believes superior client service is a religion. She serves on the Board of Directors of China Healthcare Holdings Ltd. Dr. Newman is on the Board of the Police Athletic League of New York. She is on the Corporate Board of Carnegie Hall, and is a Fellow of the Foreign Policy Association and a member of the Associate Committee of the Juilliard School. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations; Economic Club of NY; a Vice Chairman of the Business Committee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art; a member of the Women’s Medical Center Advisory Board of the New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell Medical Center; a past President of the Financial Women’s Association. She is on the Board of the Brain Trauma Foundation and The American Liver Foundation, Greater New York Chapter and the New York Citizens Budget Commission. She also Chairs the Child/Care/After School Committee for the PAL. Pamela Newman earned her B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from The University of Michigan. During her years in academia, she received a three-year teaching fellowship and was awarded the Horace A. Rackham Doctoral Research Grant. She is married to Henry E. Kates. She has two children, Romy and Theodore.
