Margaret E McDermid

Retired SVP and Chief Information at Officer Dominion Resources

Serves as chair of the college’s Board of Trustees. McDermid is chief information officer for the Federal Reserve System. Prior to her current position, she worked at Dominion Virginia Power for 30 years in several management roles, and she was an engineer at Stone and Webster Engineering Corp., working on start-up plans for five nuclear plants. A recognized leader, she chairs the Board of Directors for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and serves on other boards and committees as well. She was honored with the Executive Women in Business Achievement Award in 2008. McDermid received her bachelor’s degree in business from MBC and earned her master’s degree in business administration from the University of Richmond.
