Mr. Baker has been an active developer and owner of real estate for the past 40 years and has developed and presently owns approximately 75 shopping centers located in 16 states, as well as a number of office buildings and industrial buildings. He is considered an expert in land acquisition, construction, financing and management. Mr. Baker is a graduate of Yale University and Yale Law School. The Nathan Baker Professorship of Law at Yale University was established by Robert Baker in honor of his father. Mr. Baker's son Richard recently established the Robert Baker Professorship of Real Estate at Cornell University. Mr. Baker has served as Secretary of the New York State Dormitory Authority. He was the Executive Director of Gerald Ford's election campaign for New York State in 1976. Mr. Baker is presently on the Executive Committee of Yale Law School.
