Mark is a founder of Bridgewater Investment Group and K&Z Partners, LLC, a U.S. registered broker dealer and New York State registered investment advisor, primarily involved in risk and wealth management consulting for high-net-worth individuals and middle market financial institutions. Prior to founding K&Z Partners in 1999, Mr. Kimsey was a principal at Banc of America Securities LLC, responsible for managing over $400 million for a group of high-net-worth individuals and providing hedging and monetization guidance to a broad array of clients, including, individuals, hedge funds and financial intermediaries. Previously, Mr. Kimsey worked for Lehman Brothers as an investment banker in the Global Media and Telecom Group of the Investment Banking Division. Prior to joining the Investment Banking Division, Mr. Kimsey was the Equity Strategist and manager of the Investment Strategy Group for the Lehman Brothers Private Client Division, managing over $1 billion in assets and providing asset allocation and strategy advice to the firm’s high-net-worth clients. While working as the Equity Strategist, he was a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee and Asset Allocation Steering Committee. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers in 1992, Mr. Kimsey worked in the Equity Research Department at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Kimsey is an Advisory Board Member of InPhonic, Inc., a Fellow of the Foreign Policy Association, an Advisory Board Member of Empower America, a Member of the Board of Directors of the National Chamber Foundation and the Center for Workforce Preparation at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Kimsey is also a Board Member of the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, Change for Kids, PENCIL, and the Kimsey Foundation. Mr. Kimsey earned an Executive M.B.A. in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University, and a B.B.A. in Business Management from James Madison University.
