Murray Clark practices law at Baker & Daniels LLP in several legal areas, including government affairs and administrative law, where he has over a decades worth of experience. Murray has been involved in Republican politics his entire adult life. He began his political career as Precinct Committeeman. For 11 years Murray served as an Indiana State Senator in the 29th district. In the 2005 legislative session, he authored a successful bill to improve the child adoption process. Before leaving the Senate, Murray was the ranking member of two committees: Economic Development and Technology, as well as Insurance and Financial Institutions. He was also chairman of the Governmental Affairs Subcommittee. He was delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1996 and has been a delegate to every biennial Indiana State Republican Convention since 1994. Murray has served as Marion County Republican Central Committee Treasurer and Ward Chairman and has served on the Township Advisory Board and Election Board. He ran for Lieutenant Governor with running mate David McIntosh in 2000. In 2003, he campaigned for Governor and later became the campaign chairman for Governor Mitch Daniels. Before joining Baker & Daniels, Murray practiced law at the Indianapolis firm of Clark, Quinn, Moses, Scott & Grahn for 23 years. Murray graduated with a B.A. from Kenyon College in 1979 and a law degree from IU-Indianapolis in 1982. Murray participates in several civic activities including serving on the Board of Trustees of The Indianapolis Foundation, the Board of Directors of The Hundred Club (assisting families of fallen police officers and firefighters), Saint Elizabeth’s Home, Children’s Bureau Foundation, Dynamo Soccer Club, Carmel-Clay Chamber of Commerce, Nora Northside Community Council, and Coach of the First Baptist Church Little League. Murray is married to Janet Clark, and they have four children: James, Holly, Katherine, and Anne. They’re members of St. Luke Catholic Church.
