David Heller lives in New York City and is the Co-Head of the Goldman Sachs Global Securities Division. He currently sits on the firm’s Securities Division Operating Committee, Firmwide Risk Committee, Business Practices Committee, Finance Committee and Compensation Committee. David joined Goldman in 1989 in New York as an equity derivatives trader. He worked for Goldman in Japan from 1993-1998, initially as an equity derivatives trader and eventually as the co-head of Goldman’s Japanese equity business. David transferred to London in 1999 to become the global head of equity derivatives trading and returned to New York in 2002. David loved his overseas experiences, both professional and personal, and continues to travel to Europe and Japan regularly. In 1989, David received a B.A. from Harvard with a concentration in American History. He continues to be actively involved with Harvard chairing his 10th and 15th college reunions and currently serving on a committee to study undergraduate academic resources. David is involved with numerous charities and serves on the board of Morry’s Camp, a year-round youth development organization whose programs are anchored by a residential summer camp.
