Mark Bobak joined Williams Venker & Sanders as Of Counsel in March 2009. He specializes in a number of areas including legal strategy development, political affairs, crisis management, communications and labor issues. Mark spent 15 years in a number of leadership positions within the legal department at Anheuser-Busch. Beginning in 1992 as Associate General Counsel, he ultimately served as Group Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Anheuser-Busch Companies from 2004 to 2007. In that role, he was responsible for all labor, legal & industry and government affairs matters for the company and all of its subsidiaries. During his tenure, Mark managed, directed and developed an in-house team of 50 legal professionals who were responsible for Anheuser-Busch’s affairs in the areas of litigation, patents & trademarks, corporate & commercial, international marketing & distribution, class actions, labor & benefits and employment. Furthermore, Mark acted as the Senior Legal Advisor to the Board of Directors, members of the company’s senior management team and the business operating units. Mark served alongside Anheuser-Busch’s senior-most executives on the company’s strategy committee, where the strategic direction and policies for the company were determined. Additionally, he was on the Board of Directors for Mexican brewer Grupo Modelo, Anheuser- Busch Inc., Busch Entertainment Corp. and the Anheuser-Busch Packaging Group. Mark also served on the Board of Directors for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and was the Regional Chair for the South Central area. Prior to joining Anheuser-Busch, Bobak practiced law as a partner with the St. Louis firm of Armstrong Teasdale LLP.
