Michael Mullen

Mr. Mullen has been an industrial real estate developer for 37 years. He was a Co-Founder of CenterPoint Properties Trust, which went public in 1993 and was privatized when CalPERS bought the company for $3.5 billion in 2006. Mr. Mullen was the CEO from 2004 to 2011, when he retired and assumed the role of Vice Chairman. During his career, Mr. Mullen developed or redeveloped over 70 million square feet of buildings. Mr. Mullen was the Chairman of NAIOP in 2007 and accepted the award from Development Magazine on behalf of CenterPoint in 2011 as the Developer of the Year. Since his retirement Mr. Mullen spends his time serving on the Board of Directors of the national mall company Rouse Properties; as a Board Member and Senior Adviser to IndCor Properties, a Blackstone Group portfolio company which owns approximately 88 million square feet of industrial properties in the US; and as a Board Member and Senior Adviser to CONE, SA. CONE is a Recife, Brazil based developer of port based logistics parks. Additionally, Mr. Mullen serves as the Illinois Chairman of the TriState Alliance and the Board of the Illinois Export Advisory Council focusing on Brazil.
