Andrew Wahlquist

Andrew F. Wahlquist, Partner, is the former Chief of Staff to Senator John Warner (R-Va). As such, he served as principal advisor in legislative and political areas such as defense, commerce, transportation and foreign affairs. Prior to joining Alcalde & Fay, Mr. Wahlquist was the Vice President of Business Development for Kellstrom Industries, and previously was the Vice President of Government Relations and Corporate Communications for Greenwich Air Services, the largest independent aviation repair company in the world. Clients included the U.S. Air Force, Navy and Army, the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Marshall's Service and a host of allied military forces. Mr. Wahlquist served a five-year term as a Commissioner of the Virginia Port Authority, administering a $100 million annual budget, and served as Chairman of the Finance Committee which negotiated an $80 million bond issue to finance port expansion. Mr. Wahlquist has a B.S. in Communications from the University of Utah. He is a guest lecturer on government and politics at the University of Virginia, George Mason University and American University in Washington, DC.
