became our new President on May 1, 2010 and serves as an ex officio member of the Board. Kerry served as Chairman of the Board of the C.S. Lewis Institute for the past 7 years, and was in the first CSLI Fellows class in 1999. Kerry has a long history of senior level government and corporate experience, working as Chief of Staff in Congress and as a senior executive at Comcast and Microsoft. Kerry is a 1982 graduate of Auburn University. Kerry and his wife Michelle and three children live in Arlington and attend Little Falls Presbyterian Church. Knott served as senior director of legislative affairs for Microsoft Corporation, where he was responsible for Microsoft's growing lobbying operation, and worked on issues such as competition, broadband, privacy, immigration, intellectual property rights, and procurement. Knott has managed Microsoft's outside consultants and served as liaison to think tanks and third-party organizations. In addition, he has had primary responsibility for managing the PAC process in the D.C. office. Before joining Microsoft, Knott served as chief of staff to former House Majority Leader Dick Armey. He was responsible for the coordination and implementation of House Republican Leadership goals including political, legislative, communications and strategic planning initiatives. From 1984 through 1998, Knott served as Armey's most senior advisor managing all aspects of Armey's political and policy organization. In 1984, Knott managed Armey's first congressional campaign that succeeded in unseating a well-known Texas incumbent.
