Christine O’Connor brings years of political and public relations experience in the U.S. House of Representatives to bear on behalf of a broad spectrum of clients at Cassidy & Associates. She is responsible for tracking legislation and advising clients on legislative opportunities in the areas of appropriations, education, health care, transportation, judiciary, and water related issues. Prior to joining the firm, she served for eight years in the office of Congressman William F. Goodling (R-PA), Chairman of the House Education and Workforce Committee. She began her tenure in the Congressman’s office as a Legislative Assistant and most recently held the position of Legislative Director. As Legislative Director, Ms. O’Connor was responsible for tracking and reporting to the Congressman on telecommunications, international relations and environmental issues. She also served as a member of the senior management team. Prior to her time with the Congressman, Ms. O’Connor worked at the Vision Council of America. In addition to her work in the House and at the Vision Council, Ms. O’Connor served as Arlington County Deputy Chairman of the 2000 Bush for President campaign for the Republican primary in Virginia, and volunteered for Bush-Cheney 2000 and the 2001 Presidential Inaugural Committee. She also was a Republican observer for the George W. Bush Florida Recount team in Palm Beach County, Florida. Ms. O’Connor graduated Cum Laude from Mount St. Mary’s College in Emmitsburg, MD.
