John Crumbliss joined Cornerstone in 2004. Since then, John has represented a broad portfolio of clients that include technology companies, institutions of higher education and health care. Leading these clients on a diverse range of issues, he has devised and implemented strategies that have resulted in concrete policy changes and subsequent federal support for the organizations represented. On behalf of Cornerstone and its clients, John has worked extensively with both chambers of Congress, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Labor, the Department of Education, the Department of Energy, the White House and a number of Democratic Governors. A career long lobbyist, John has developed and implemented creative and effective solutions for over 20 clients prior to Cornerstone’s advent in fields such as telecommunications, defense, education and health in addition to his work at one of Washington’s largest government relations firms and the largest membership organization for charitable foundations. John received his Masters in international relations with honors from the Trans-Atlantic Masters program at Duke University, UNC Chapel Hill, the University of Paris-Sorbonne and the University of Bath, UK. A native North Carolinian, he attended Colgate University and received his B.A. in U.S. history and political science from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. John, his wife and son live in the District of Columbia.
