Colin S. McNay is the president of Telemark Asset Management, the Boston-based fund management company he founded in 2003. Prior to founding Telemark, McNay was the Director of Research and Principal at Essex Investment Management Company, LLC, with several billion dollars under management. He was responsible for managing several technology portfolios at the firm. Prior to joining Essex, Mr. McNay was an analyst at Off Wall Street Consulting Group, a stock research firm, and an associate at Herrick & Company, researching and overseeing management of private companies. Mr. McNay remains active in local charities, particularly schools. He has chaired the Annual Fund and Parents Association at The Roxbury Latin School. Mr. McNay has coached youth soccer and lacrosse for many years. Mr. McNay holds an A.B. in Geology from Dartmouth College (1982) and an M.B.A. from Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business Administration (1986). While at Dartmouth, he competed for the school's nordic ski team in three NCAA championships, and was a member of the U.S. Biathlon Development Team.
