David Sands

David Keith Sands was born in Dallas to Caroline Rose Hunt and Loyd Bowmer Sands on September 8, 1950. David graduated Highland Park High School and The University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Business Administration and Geology. He began his career with Hunt Oil Co. and Hunt Energy Co., then served as an Executive Director of The Rosewood Corporation for 35 years with a particular interest in the company's oil & gas and timber operations. David was predeceased by his father Loyd B. Sands and his brother, John Bunker Sands. He is survived by his cherished wife of 30 years, Nancy Goldman Sands, children Lydia, Clayton and Julia Sands; mother Caroline Rose Hunt; brother Stephen Sands and sister-in-law Marcy and nephews Wilson, Lowell, Storm and Bowmer and their wives and children; niece Haven Sands Heinrichs and nephew Jacob Sands and their spouses and children, and nephew Stark Sands; sister-in-law Gayle Sands and nieces Courtenay and Kathryn; sister Laurie Sands Harrison and brother-in-law Frank and nieces Caroline, Francis, Hassie and Bailey; brother Patrick Sands and sister-in-law Sara and nieces Peyton and Lauren and nephew Ryan; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
