Jay Bernstein has been the Chairman and CEO of NIC Holding Corp since 1988. Privately held by the Bernstein family, NIC owns and operates a range of downstream infrastructure assets including Northville Industries. Northville owns and operates the largest gasoline and diesel storage and truck rack distribution business on Long Island. In 1977, the Company built a 90-mile crude oil pipeline across Panama to ship Alaskan crude oil to US gulf coast ports, and in 2008 the pipeline was reversed to flow Caribbean to the Pacific. Since 1980, NIC’s principal business has been trading oil, light products and futures in the Atlantic Basin. Jay is a vice president of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, a member of the board of the American Friends of the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, and a past member of the board of Island Harvest, a Long Island based hunger relief charity.
