Brad is a Portfolio Manager at BlueMountain responsible for the firm's trading in Non-Agency Mortgage Backed and Asset-Backed Securities as well as investments in specialty finance companies. He joined the firm from JP Morgan, where over a 20 year career he held a number of senior level positions in both the ABS investment banking group and the proprietary trading team. In the early 1990s, Brad built Morgan's asset backed commercial paper conduit business into one of the biggest and most profitable in the industry. His responsibilities included originating, structuring, and risk managing transactions across all asset classes. Over a 10 year period, JPM's multi seller conduits invested approximately $25 billion over 100 different transactions without incurring a single credit loss. In addition to his conduit responsibilities, Brad was the lead banker on many of Morgan's most lucrative and complex deals and effectively handled a number of problem credits until successful resolution. In 2005 Brad started the ABS desk in JPM's proprietary positioning business. The ABS group focused mostly on generic consumer assets, credit oriented mortgages such as subprime and alt A as well as ABS CDOs. From its inception the ABS desk was profitable. In 2007, as the mortgage market started to deteriorate, the ABS desk enjoyed its most profitable year accounting for over half of the global proprietary team's revenue. Brad graduated from Dickinson College with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and with an MBA from Cornell University.
