"Booz Allen Hamilton Vice President Ashley Skyrme is a leader in the firm’s IT business focusing on technology strategy and transformation, enterprise solutions, full lifecycle systems development, and change management. She is a senior leader in the firm’s civilian government market with an emphasis on federal grant and loan programs and entitlement agencies, including the Department of Agriculture, Department of Education, Department of Labor, Department of Commerce, and the National Science Foundation. Her work spans multiple benefit and assistance segments including disability, nutrition, education, disaster assistance, rural development, and agriculture assistance. Her teams have launched and managed numerous innovative government programs that integrate customer needs and business processes with web-based commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) technologies. She was a member of the Association of Government Accountants Corporate Partner Advisory Group which published a research report entitled: “Improper Payments – Not Just the Purview of the CFO Anymore.” And she co-authored Booz Allen’s Point of View: “What It Takes to Transform Federal Aid – Ten Key Practices of Successful Federal Grant Programs.” Ms. Skyrme’s extensive experience in the professional services industry has included serving numerous clients including the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Social Security Administration, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Interior, Department of Homeland Security, General Services Administration, and the State Department. During her 13-year career at Booz Allen, Ms. Skyrme has been recognized with a Values-In-Practice (VIP) award, the firm’s highest honor for staff who exemplify leadership in demonstrating Booz Allen’s core values. She also received the Woman of Distinction award from the firm’s Women's Forum for women who inspire others and display strong character. Ms. Skyrme is a Board member of Suited for Change, a nonprofit that enables low-income women to increase their employment and job retention potential to achieve economic independence. Prior to joining the firm as an intern in 1998, Ms. Skyrme worked for The Department of State, American Embassy in Rwanda, Africa assisting with the Embassy transition post-genocide, and led a Children’s Advocacy Program for the Transition House – a nonprofit shelter for battered women. Ms. Skyrme has an MBA from Wake Forest University and a B.A. degree in German Studies from Boston College. While earning her graduate degree, she was recognized with the Babcock Wall Street Journal Award and the Babcock Leadership Award. She also holds several professional certificates including Business Strategy from the Round Table Group, E-Government from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Change Management Advanced Practitioner from the Booz Allen and Georgetown University accredited program.
