Admiral Leighton W. Smith, Jr. (USN Ret.) has been a director since 2005 and is a member of our Audit Committee. Admiral Smith was appointed to four-star rank in April 1994, became Commander in Chief, Allied Forces Southern Europe and concurrently assumed the command of the NATO-led Implementation Force in Bosnia in December 1995. Admiral Smith retired from the U.S. Navy after 34 years of service in 1996. Admiral Smith has served as a Senior Fellow at the Center for Naval Analysis and as a Senior Advisor to the Institute for Defense Analysis. Admiral Smith holds a Bachelor's degree in Naval Science from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master's degree in Personnel Counseling from Troy State University. He is a director of Billing Services Group Limited, a U.K.-registered public company, and a member of the boards of several private companies. Leighton W. Smith, Jr., was born in Mobile, Alabama. He attended the Naval Academy, graduating with the Class of 1962.
