Alice Ruth joined Quadrangle Group LLC in 2008 as a Managing Principal and Chief Investment Officer of Quadrangle Asset Management ("QAM"). Prior to joining Quadrangle, Ms. Ruth was Chief Investment Officer for the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation based in San Francisco. During her tenure Ms. Ruth led and shaped the $6 billion Moore portfolio from inception. Prior to joining the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, Ms. Ruth spent 12 years at Montgomery Securities as Senior Managing Director. Her notable career as a consumer stock analyst was recognized repeatedly by Institutional Investor and the Wall Street Journal. Subsequently, Ms. Ruth was named Co-Director Equity Research for Montgomery. Before joining Montgomery, Ms. Ruth was at Morgan Stanley where she served as Economic Analyst and developed models to examine and anticipate the direction of the Federal Reserve on interest rates. Ms. Ruth received an A.B. in economics from Dartmouth. She has served on many non-profit boards including most recently the Vail Mountain School (Chair Investment Committee) and Vail Valley Medical Center (Chair Investment Committee). Ms. Ruth is co-founder of Mountain Montessori, an ongoing 501(c)3, which provides early childhood education.
