Helped implement the external and internal communications strategy for IFC's Environment and Social Development Department, which was developing a new set of social and environmental performance standards that companies receiving IFC loans had to adhere to. The Performance Standards represented a departure from the former regulatory and compliance based approach to ensure the social and environmental sustainability of a project. The IFC board approved the new standards in February 2006.
