Mark A. Russell was named president of Worthington Steel in February of 2007. Russell began his career as an attorney for Kirkland & Ellis in 1989. In 1992, he joined Gerrity Oil & Gas Company as a corporate attorney. Russell joined the legal staff at Alumax, Inc., in 1994. Two years later, he was promoted to vice president of Alumax Materials Management. In 1998, he was named president of Alumax Foils, Inc. Russell was named manager of corporate development for Alcoa, Inc., in 1999, where he was responsible for selected acquisition and divestiture activities. In 2000, he was promoted to general manager of Alcoa's global engineered aerospace products business unit. In 2002, Russell was named chief executive officer of Indalex, Inc., one of the world's largest producers of extruded aluminum products. Russell had most recently formed a private equity acquisition group in connection with Navigant Capital Advisors. Russell earned his Bachelor of Science from Weber State University and his Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University. He is married with four children and resides in Powell, Ohio.
