Robert P George

Robert P. George has served as a member of the President's Council on Bioethics and as a presidential appointee to the United States Commission on Civil Rights. He has also served as a Judicial Fellow at the Supreme Court of the United States, where he received the Justice Tom C. Clark Award. He is the author of In Defense of Natural Law, Making Men Moral: Civil Liberties and Public Morality, and The Clash of Orthodoxies: Law, Religion and Morality in Crisis. He has published numerous scholarly articles and book reviews. Professor George is a recipient of many honors and awards, including the Presidential Citizens Medal in 2008 and a Bradley Prize for Intellectual and Civic Achievement in 2005. Professor George holds degrees from Oxford University (D.Phil.), Harvard University (M.T.S. and J.D.) and Swarthmore College (B.A.).
