Amelia Salzman, NYU Law adjunct professor of law, teaches the Public Interest Environmental Law Practice seminar in the Fall term. After leaving her position in the summer of 2011 as Associate Director for Policy Outreach at the Council on Environmental Quality, Professor Salzman has been an environmental policy advisor to various philanthropic and not-for-profit entities. Before the White House, she served on the Obama transition review team for the EPA. Her previous positions include Senior Program Officer in charge of biodiversity, climate change, and energy at the Wallace Global Fund and Senior Program Officer in the International Policy Program and World Wildlife Fund US. Professor Salzman began her environmental career in the honors program of the U.S. Department of Justice in the Environment Division. She received her JD from New York University and her BA from Brown University.
