Allan Zaremberg became president and CEO of the California Chamber of Commerce in 1998. He was previously the chamber’s executive vice president and the head of its legislative advocacy program. Under Zaremberg’s leadership, the chamber has been involved in key legislative efforts, including stopping “shakedown” lawsuits and increasing transportation infrastructure funding. He served as a captain and flight navigator in the Air Force from 1970 to 1975 before entering McGeorge School of Law and taking up private practice. At the Department of Justice, he was a deputy attorney general, and he has worked for former California governors George Deukmejian and Pete Wilson. Penn State University, McGeorge School of Law (JD)
