With brother (and fellow billionaire) Christopher, lords over Reyes Holdings, $12.5 billion (sales) food and beer distribution conglomerate. Purchased small South Carolina beer distributor for $740,000 in 1976. Bought Chicago Beverage Systems three years later. Now the largest beer distributor in the U.S., delivering 80 million cases a year. Also own McDonald's largest U.S. supplier, Martin-Brower, acquired in 1998; today the outfit delivers burgers and fries to all Canadian McDonalds and thousands of locations in the U.S. McDonald's Supplier of the Year in 2009.
