Danielle Maurer joined the firm in March of 2011, after spending 12 years in various governmental and non-governmental positions in Washington, D.C. On Capitol Hill, Danielle served as Director of Member Services for Speaker of the House John Boehner, assisting the Speaker in his Chairmanship of the Republican Steering Committee and managing his relationships with members of the Republican Conference. She also spent three years as Director of Federal Government Relations for pension giant TIAA CREF, handling investment, retirement, pension and real estate investment issues. Danielle previously served as Senior Floor Assistant for the House Majority Leader Tom DeLay and Deputy Associate Director of Legislative Affairs for OMB under now-Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels. She began her career as a Staff Assistant - and later Professional Staff Member - for the House Rules Committee, serving under Chairmen Gerry Solomon and David Dreier. Her responsibilities included handling defense, foreign affairs, agriculture, budget and small business issues. The New York native graduated from Washington and Lee University, in Virginia. She and her family live in Arlington, Virginia.
