Jonathan joined North Bridge Venture Partners in April 2012 from Facebook, where he was VP of Technical Operations from 2007 until 2011, as Facebook grew from 35 million users to over 800 million. Heiliger brings to North Bridge his passion for creating and scaling solution-focused technology companies as an active advisor, investor or executive. Jonathan's focus is on identifying companies that are attempting to solve problems of significant scale and scope and is based in California. At Facebook, Jonathan oversaw global infrastructure, site architecture and internal systems. Prior to Facebook, Jonathan held executive technical operations roles at Walmart and Danger (acquired by Microsoft). He also spent several years as Chief Operating Officer for Loudcloud (which became Opsware and was later acquired by HP). Earlier in his career, Jonathan co-founded and was the CTO of Frontier GlobalCenter, and later founded Global Crossing’s venture capital group. Jonathan currently serves on the board of directors of DuPont Fabros, Jive Software, Lytro, OneID, USA Cycling and Webmonsters. He also led North Bridge's investments in Quora, Ravel Law and Tastemaker. In addition to investments with North Bridge, Jonathan has individually invested and actively helps several companies including Box, Cloudera, Coravin, Square and ThousandEyes.
