Morton B. Plant is the chair of the UJC Executive Committee and past chair of the Budget & Finance Committee and treasurer. Elected as chairman of the board of THE ASSOCIATED: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore in June 1999 for a three-year term, he is a member of the Executive Committee, the Executive Investment Committee and the Committee on Overseas Relationships. He is the former chairman of the North American Maccabi Youth Games. Plant serves on the boards of directors of Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, LifeBridge Health, Mercantile Bankshares Safe Deposit and Trust Company. A graduate of the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania, Plant is the former chairman of Keywell Corporation, the largest scrap metal and stainless steel recycling company in the United States. During his career, among other positions of distinction, he served as president of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries. Plant resides in Baltimore, Maryland.
