Charles G. Goldman is responsible for developing and implementing an accelerated growth strategy for Schwab Institutional and for running its day-to-day business operations. He leads a team of 1,800 who support approximately 5,500 independent advisory firms with 1.5 million individual client accounts and $581 billion in assets custodied at Schwab Institutional as of third quarter 2007. Previously, Goldman assisted clients in strategic development, operational improvement and organization design at the Los Angeles office of The Boston Consulting Group. Prior to that, Goldman was with the Bankers Trust in New York. Goldman earned a Bachelor of Science degree magna cum laude in finance from the University of Southern California, where he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honors society. He earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of California at Los Angeles, where he was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma honors society. He is a director on the board of Foundation for Financial Planning and is chairman of the board of directors of Wall Street on Demand.
